I'm getting a humming from my car that ceases when the clutch is depressed. I'm assuming its the throw out bearing which could mean a new clutch is in my near future. Whats a good place to get this done in the area since I'm a poor college student? THanks

For the Reston guy: RRT
For the Laurel guy: RRT, but if you dont wanna drive that far Induktion in Hanover would work well also.

RRT quotes me 5 hours to install shocks / springs plus an additional 100 for alignments. thats steep in my book. 5 x 90 = 450 and 100 for align is 550 for labor. Is that expected?

Clutches are easy and the labor is pretty much universal... if you have the right tools.
I had a Chevron station do it ... $650 with parts (OEM clutch and pressure plate), labor, and shop materials/consumables--and tax.
