The hoses, belts, thermostat, fan, clutch and water pump and shroud were changed by me about 3 months ago....

The cooling system in this car is unlike anything I have ever seen before. (I have owed a lot of cars and many of them high end) I was driving in temps above 115 degrees. A/C on all the time. At times stop and go traffic and the trip home from sea level to 4000 feet.

The range of the gauge was a 1/16" before and after dead center. Concerned my gauge might be busted, I searched it out to confirm that temps do not climb on these cars.

and its a pain in the ass compared to any other car, because of the TWO pipes that you have to line up JUST right

ive never had to do that before for a water pump =/

The cooling system is pretty efficient. You really have to stay on top of it though because if you do not take care of it and do preventative maintenance, it'll eventually leave you on the side of the road.

I had to replace the rad in the 535i because the plastic just fell apart.. from ebay i got one for under $200 to my door.. but for those who like BMW parts, your looking at $500+ canadian for a new rad!
