First, I searched, but I didn't find the answer I was looking for.

Background:

I'm trying to run Stoptech BBK (ST-40) calipers with my ACS III wheels (43 et, 18x8.5 wheels)

I'm trying to determine what size spacers I need to run. Where do I measure, how do I measure, etc to determine the correct size spacer I need to run.

Have you tried fitting the wheels on yet? They may clear without a spacer, otherwise you would probably need a ~ 10mm spacer.

Yes, they didn't fit. I have the template off STOPTECH's website, so I'm going to see how much I need. I can't imagine needing different wheels...what is the largest size space anyone would recommend running on the front wheels?

Get a set of washers at a local hardware store. Put them inbetween the wheels and the hub. When you have enough even to clear it.....measure them. Problem solved. ;)

Stoptech recommended the same thing. I used their tool and it looks like the gap is just at about an inch...so about 20mm I guess is a safe bet. Now, is it OK to run that large of a spacer up front?

Also check clearances with fender lip and also wheel liner when turning wheel to full turns

I should be good...I have coilovers, so I can always raise it a little or just have the fenders pulled.

I'm just worried about having such a large spacer between the wheel and hub...damn ACS IIIs!

All right, the answer is:

20mm and it fits with the GC recommended ride height w/o fender rolling. I think I could have gotten away with 18mm, but I'm comfortable with what I have.
