I took it off so that I can pull back these pins in my headlights that got pushed in. Anyway, first I notice one of the two metal clips that holds the intake to the MAF is holding on to broken plastic (where it's supposed to hook in) :rolleyes

Then later, when I was about to put it in, I realize the intake has 3 points it should have something screwed in, not just the 2 I took out by the cruise control module. I look down in the engine bay and low and behold there was something else that needs to connect to it, something with a metal prong that is supposed to stick into the airbox, I'm guessing a sensor, and then it has 2 tubes going out from behind that toward the engine :shifty What is this???

Anyway now I'm really tempted to not even put it back and make myself an intake. Are there any good writeups on this? I was looking down to where a long CAI would hang down through and it doesn't look like there's space because the horn of the car is down there on the way to the foglight.

if you search you should be able to find an intake DIY on here. as far as the horn... it has to be relocated. people do it all the time.

the little "sensor" with the two hoses is actually there to prehat the air charge its filled with coolant. i had bad luck once i took it out of the air track(my idle went to hell costantlly fluctuating), but some others on here have just zip tied it up and had no plroblems. moving the horns arent a problem a piece of strap steel the old hanger and moving the forward most horn.
anyway check out they have a a write on one
