Happy 200k!

I hit the 200k mile mark in my 95 525i this weekend and in celebration spent all day sunday cleaning/washing/repairing/ordering everything that i could. (should only be left with little stuff once all the parts get in)

I just hit 200k about 2 months ago.. I celebrated by dumping 2k into her to begin the restoration. Interior is pretty much done now. The only mechanical problem left is that the tranny cooler seals are leaking. The BMW shop locally replaced them for free during my initial service at purchase, but he was a dipshit and didn't really know his stuff...


...and to imagine, he owns an e34 too...

sweet, a 525 will hit 300k no prob, every car desreves to be spoiled...i have a 540i 152,xxxk...i love her and will never sell, lets add up the miles...moving to FL at the end of the month....+1k

I've got less than 400 miles to go until I hit 200k in the manual and I've got about 3k left on the auto until it hits 200k. I've been keeping the camera in the car just waiting..

I'm only at 160K - but I'm beginning to fear for the transmission.

I'm beginning to fear for my tranny as well, mine is manual but whines like i have a supercharger in first, second, and third.

i dont plan on selling the car.... ever... so ill try to see how far i can go before i need an engine swap. At that point s50 ?!?

I'm pretty much in the same boat. My transmission works fine, but will be swapped out for a 5 speed manual.
