I have a very quick question that maybe someone could answer. I was thinking on the style 5 bolts, sticking them in a tub of carb cleaner and letting them sit over night, then next morning running them through a Case Tumbler.
Just trying to get some thoughts on if anyone has ever ran bolts through a Case Tumbler. Thanks!

Im refinishing a set of Style 5's also and I dont know what to do for the bolts either.
What is the purpose of putting them in carb cleaner?
Im really starting to think about sourcing all new hardware because polishing 136 bolts is going to suck horribly.

You know what I did. I got every bolt, grabbed one end with a cordless drill and thank got for quick connect, and spun them in a terry cloth with metal polish in one, and a clean terry cloth for the other. You know what I got, 136 CHROME bolts.
You know what happened a month later, 136 tarnished bolts. :(

^ I wonder what would have happened if you clear coated them after you polished them....
Also, do you have any pics of the bolts after you polished them? Id love to see how they came out. What metal polish did you use on them?

+1, but I cleared mine...they don't look bad after a month or so of sitting, but they are sitting inside

currently i have all the bolts in some chem dip, and it's stripping everything off, tomorrow i'm borrowing a co-workers ammunition tumbler and we'll see what happens!

I bought a small 1 gal. of this stuff, didn't like it at all. I looked around our shop and found some from nappa and it's working like a charm!
