The local autoX group held an event on the racetrack's karting track in south florida. It was a lot of fun, it was almost a cross between an autox and a track day. My girlfriend managed to get a few photos of me in the 525i with the new wheels.
It was a pretty fun event, besides being blisteringly hot out. The new tires performed very well (although I wasn't really pushing them hard, just enough to make a little noise).

Looks like a lot of fun. Is that thing lowered? Wheels look good, staggered style 32's right?

Thanks! No, its not lowered, but you were right about the staggered style 32s. Also sporting new BFGoodrich TA KDW2s and some Euro Ellipsoids (but you can't see those).
I wish I had gotten some more photos of the car from up close, I didnt realize how far away from the track the stands were. Oh well, I'm sure I'll end up going back.

Damn I need to get my suspension up to Auto-x specs. That looks like a ton of fun.

Yeah, it was definitely a lot of fun to drive, but there were a LOT of people for the event, so seat time was a little limited compared to normal autoXs.
As for the suspension, the E34 I was driving was on original stock shocks up front! It was a little loose, but oh well. Modding the driver, not the car...
The rear end was mostly new, and the low ratio LSD definitely helped.

I recently autox-ed my bimmer too and it was a blast. we did it on a lot smaller tighter course though. I got first in my class (it was the slowest class haha) but I didn't think I did too bad for one of the heaviest cars and having stock exhaust and all season tires lol I beat a ford lightening, toyota corola s, and a supercharged corvette :alright-he had too much torque and not good enough tires to stick it down so everytime he pushed it the back end washed out but a win is a win!
autox is deffinately a blast to watch and especially participate it

that looks fun, but your 330ci would have been more thrilling i think. that 3.0 i6 is a good engine, and it is a blast to drive.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I'm glad you like the photos.
Yeah, I'd like to keep doing it, if I can get the shit with my transmission sorted out soon. The cars got brand new tires, I'd like to at least use them a few times.
The 330ci probably would have been more fun, but its still new to me, I'm not ready to take it out on the track and beat it up yet. I guess I'm just being a pussy about it, but I'd still rather practice in the E34 a bit before I start taking the 330 out.
Here's one more photo taken by a professional photographer at the vent (thats why it says PROOF across it, I'm supposed to buy it).
If it didn't have the stupid blue tape to protect the headlights and the checkerboard around the windshield (from my missing trim), it would be the hottest E34 photo EVER :).......Well, maybe not. Here it is:

I like the one in your sig better. It conveys speed as it is slightly out of focus and you can see the suspension working through the turn. Great shots of the event though.
You have that hot E34 and a 330i to play with, that's not fair. Didn't your Mom teach you to share? :nono
Good on you!:buttrock
