Show me your alpine white bimmer!

I have alpine white 325is. i want to see how sexy i can make it look. i will most likely just paint my moldings skirts and bumpers all white and maybe just get a new rear bumper later on. the stock body kit is pretty nice although the rear bumper is a bit weak. if anyone has painted all their crap white please show me some pics. i need to aim for somethin and eye candy should help.

Just maintain the trim with Mother's Back to Black or Forever Black. With the right materials and techniques it can be done. Don't you think if it looked best painted that BMW would have done it?

Icecream man, you have a point but I dont think it looks best when the stock bumpers and sides are gray. Everyone has their own opinion though.

I like quest's the most but thank you all! i can wait to get mine done. if i were a lot of you i would remove my front L plate and place it on the dash in the window. plates are freakin hideus..however u spell that anyways they fugly!

Thanks for the compliment guys...it really needs some paint work though. The paint is starting to chip and fade...thats where my tax return comes in...hopefully.:)

i like your car and yeah if you lowered it then it would be a lot tighter. are those chrome? cuz i have chrome machine lipped rims and they look dope. mine are 17s. what size are yours? ill get around to taking a pic of my car for a sig or something too....

oh yeah and i think bmw painted those moldings black becuase i think they have more functionality than style. like to protect ur car somewhat from dents or from crap hitting it. just my opinion. if they were white than once they got hit by something it might leave shit on the nice white paint. just my opinion.

Its a real picture IIRC. I had to do a stupid Britney Spears project for desktop publishing and was "forced" into collecting large amounts of her photographs. I do remember a few with an E36 vert.

What shade white is your car? Its seems to be a brighter white than alpine.

When I repaint my car (as soon as I get the CLS wb kit on) I was thinking about doing a different shade white w/ a tad bit of silver pearl.

its a bright white with a silver pearl, the silver pearl makes it looks a tad bit darker

I didn't read thoroughly, I agree that grey bumpers need paint. I call that condition black bumper syndrome. I go around & around in my head about painting my moldings but it just looks a little off to me. I think I've been staring at my car too much, I could be going crazy. :b_blue:

I feel ya James. I passed on a clean 99 Alpine white M3 when I bought my cosmos. To this day I see pictures, and I wonder if I bought the right car... At the time, I didn't love white the way I do now. It's just such a clean look to it.

does anyone have a stock 3-series bumper where all they did was paint it? like they painted the spoiler and lip or whatever white too? ive noticed that none of your front bumpers look like mine and i am curious as to how mine will look when i do it... i have 1993 325is and i have that grill type thing in my bumper. would it look better if i cut that out and put some mesh or cut it out and left nothing or should i paint it and leave it? HELP HELP HELP!

Before I got my M3 front end I had my original bumper painted and looked good. I say you paint your original stuff and get a lip for the front bumper and should be looking a lot better.

I had my entire car painted...the job was sh*tty so it is chipping but if they are painted by a good shop there should be no reason for them to chip. I'll be getting my entire car repainted hopefully before the summer.
