Ha , here i am always recommended German Motor Specialist in Mountain View.

Unfortunaltely, triple A doesnt cover a tow that far. Yep, my 98 M3 is overheating on me and i need a tow. But i am in South San Jose. Any shops in San Jose area?

I dont seem to remember any being mentioned in previous posts.
So hopefully someone has one.

Thanks.

GMS (http://www.gms.cc/) is in Sunnyvale, not Mountain View. Their website say's they're off 101 at Mathilda. That still may not be close enough, but it's a lot better than Mountain View.

Will AAA cover the tow up to x miles and then you can pay for the additional miles?

There's also Stevens Creek BMW, but depending on what you need done you may save more than the cost of the tow by going to a non-dealer shop.

Good luck!

yea, german motor specialist is in sunnyvale.

anyway, here's a little something my friend did... AAA will tow your car, something like 10 miles? get it towed 10 miles, to some gas station or something. wait for like 15 min. call up AAA again, and ask for a tow truck. get it towed again. etc, etc, etc... this worked for him in 1996 or 1997, so not sure if it'd work now.

or, find somebody that has AAA plus or platinum or whatever you call it (the upgraded version) since they're covered for like 100 miles or something like that.

Thanks. i have AAA Classic which only covers 5 miles. I am 7.6 miles away from A&E Performance in Cambell, so i am going to get it towed there.

Ill just drive it for two miles before it overheats and not worry about the extra miles. Ill let everyone know if the shop was good or not.

Talk to Al Mengenity at A&E. He does excellent work. Had a bunch of stuff done at his shop. Excellent work done.

Another great shop is www.rennwerks.com in Mountain View.
