Hi! have anyone of you tried a higher compression ratio pistons?, increased the displacement to 2.4cc?.. is it doable. how much hp gain do you get?.. thanks!

2.4??? Do you think you can pull this off? Last time i checked the highest displacement ive seen is 2.3 on an m44. Have you checked gizmo's build up thread? Theres tons of info and ideas in there.

I was just thinkin'. Could I rather use JE Pistons, they're offering made to order.. you could decide the desired compression ratio and bore size. What if I only replace the pistons, is it possible, or will it oblige me to do upgrades on the rods, etc.. If its possible will it already bring out noticeable hp gain?.. by the way mine is a m44, with modified exhaust and intake aside from that its all stock

I have JE's in my m42! At a 85 mm bore, 2.4L is impossible.

ok forgive me for the 2.4L.. so other than the JE pistons does it require to add or modify other parts?

after speaking with gizmo about his build (i am heavily contemplating doing it) ... im going to start with just the m47 crank, m44 rods, and s50 pistons decked to 3.8mm. He said that should do me well, although im not boring the block, i should be feeling the same power as a 325, which i believe is a 25-35hp gain (correct me if im wrong... idk stock 325hp)
Since you already have the m44 motor, i would research about motor piece sizes (i.e. crankshaft fitment, rod length etc.) Just talk to gizmo, im sure he'd be happy to point you in the right direction.

thanks pal. It was only a little later that I thougt of this things as well. My friend initially proposed to fit in a m30b35 or m60b40.. im not sure of this though.. anyway ill be glad to check things out with gizmo
