I dont remember who had it but someone on this forum got thier steering wheel wrapped with leather. It was a professional job, and it made it look like it rolled out of the factory like that.

I want to do the same for my car, reason being i dont want to shell out 800 bux for a 3 spoke steering wheel with airbag. And mainly whats bugging me right now is my steering wheel has some worn spots and the top looks like its melting :dunno anyone in southern cali know a place that they will wrap your steering wheel and make it look like OE?

I didn't get mine professionally done, but I bought a wrap from www.wheelskins.com, and imho, it looks pretty nice. If you like, I can upload some pics. Let me know!

I did the same.
On my black sterring wheel, I put a two-tone black/tan Wheelskins on and it looks awesome. Like a factory job.
But, I have also seen a bright red Wheelskins on a black wheel and it didn't look so good. Mainly because there was so much contrast btwn the red and black, it just didn't seem to fit.

I've got one Wheelskins too. It's a Euro-tone, with blue on top and bottom, and black in the sides. Once I get my Okole seat covers (with the same color combination) it will look/match pretty good

nice look! Is its smooth or grippy? I still want to retain factory grippy ness for those quick sudden quick manuvers.

Why would you want to do that. Your car already comes leather wrapped from factory. I used to install those on the plastic steering wheel of my old Honda. But it just does not looks right on a bimmer.
