does it use the same 6-cyl diff as the E46, or is it E90-derived or, perhaps, completely unique???
I need to source an LSD if I end up buying one, and I don't see that Dinan has even offered one yet for the E90s... bimmerworld, diffsonline, and someone else had them, but they were all HUGE money... like $4000, and I don't really need something built to that spec...
help/ideas?

33107557150 = E87 130i diff from realoem.com
33107531625 = E46 325i diff from realoem.com both are 3.46 ratios...
crapski.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

The 6 cylinder e36 3 series use a medium-case diff, type 188...oddly, the E87 final drive shows as a type 188L - perhaps similar in number (maybe the 'new' medium-case) but its attachments look all different.
The e46 diff looks similar to the e87 diff, but doesn't show a 'type' like the older diffs do. I'd guess one of the fellows at Bimmerworld would easily be able to tell you the difference between an e46 and e90 diff, but I'm not sure how different e87 is from those.

hmmmm, salvage E36 LSD + $500 for install at a good speed shop = low rent LSD ftw.
