i left my car for 4 days with handbrake on and when i next ran it there was a couple of small bangs from back end and now there is constant rubbing noise is it the brakes or any other ideas b4 i start taking wheels off?

Most likely the shoes and/or the hardware for the shoes have broken in some way.
