I recently purchased a 1994 325is and do not have an owner's manual. Consequently, I have (what is probably) a basic question about the A/M button. Since my transmission is an automatic, I'm not sure if the "A" stands for automatic and if the "M" stands for manual. Please advise!

A = automatic
M = Manual
On other posts people have advised not to use this button, rather use the 3 option. Apparently it causes stress and damage to your tranny and overall is not good.
Search and you will find many posts on the topic.
