they should have it in your handbook.

For memory they have a tech1 and tech2 service, and an oil service. The biggie is the #2 and they recommend to do the solid lifter clearences.

IMO, the most important thing u can do for your m3 "eurospec" is to change the oil & oil filter & vanos filter clean at 5000km intervals, replace the vanos filter every 10000km. Every 20000km id change the diff and gearbox oil and do a scan to see any fault code logs. If u drive your car hard id prob flush out the brake fluid every 20000km (or even less if u use dot 5.1).

Items like brake pads ect id be checking evey 10000km and repalce when nearly worn. Id do the solid lifter clerances say every 40000km or at the hint of any valvetrain tapping noise. also the sparkplugs every 40000km or so if u use the factory spec NGK ones

Thanks, do you know by any chance what do they do exactly on "tech1" and "tech2" service ?

Is there a web site somewhere with that info ?

What do you have to buy to do that valve clearances? I was told you need to buy a special tool, and also a set of (the name of the part escapes me now) those circular things, that replaces the ones we already have.

A lot of people refer to it as valve adjstment, but I was told it was not an adjustment perse, but just to replace those parts to align it again. Is this true?

mmm i will talk from experience with the S14, i guess they should be similar to the S50's.
Those round things are called "shims" you can purchase them from the dealership, or even save some bucks by re-using some that are already installed which you will remove..

all you need is a caliber for shim thickness measurement(after a while those shims might not be the exact mm it says on them, and

a feeler gauge to check valve clearance.

also you'll need that tool to lift the camshaft up a bit to swap shims,

check Gustave's website for detailed info, sorry dont have the url my pc recently got damaged

remember the clearance depends on the temp of the engine..
