I just ordered a JT Designs underpanel for my '99 M3 today. Then I got to wondering what the weight difference was for that big piece of aluminum versus the oem plastic pieces.

Sorry, I'm a total weight removal freak.

Yeah. You ever build a race car where after scraping off undercoating for 3 hours you sweep it all up and throw it on the scale to see how much weight you took off? :D That wacky mentality got my 911 down to 2120 lbs :buttrock

No I did weight reduction on my z3, so I know how you feel but I mean the JTD peice is just not going to fly off at high speeds that it may be a bit heavier but its worth its weight.

I had my z3 down 215 lbs. It makes quite a difference.

Nice. My 'vert could use some weight loss, which is why the spare is going, and the stock hood too. Hello, carbon fiber!!

The sound crap undernath the carpet is alot of weight, spare tire, windshield wiper resevoir, spare tire, tool kit, Carpet weight (that my z3 had) lots of other random little stuff, bumper weights.

I removed the bumper weights on my Z3, and put them back on. It felt SO shaky, it was unreal.
