I am looking to buy some 18x8.5 Hm2's with tires and was wondering peoples opinions on them. I like the appearance of the wheel and like how they look on e36's but was just wondering how people think they are in general. I have heard the car loses some acceleration and the I guess responsiveness because they are heavy. I searched and someone mentioned they were 26lbs while others have said around 21-22 pounds. Can someone please give me some opinions because I dont want to lose performance. Thanks.

They're quite heavy (especially compared to the average wheel weight) and you will lose out on performance from heavier wheels. I'd have to say they're definitely wheels for "style" but they look damn good on an E36.

I have a set and they are purely for looks. They are a heavy wheel. You will need spacers to run them upfront. If you want a different look then I'd say go for it. If your keeping your stock set, then I'd use those for any performance type driving.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the comments guys. I think I will pass on the hamann's. Its too bad there more for show and I dont like the fact they need spacers. I guess I will keep my stockers for now and keep looking.
