RE050A Pole Positions??

Anyone have any experience with the RE050A Pole Position tires.... what are they like, treadwear, wet weather, dry weather grip, etc?? They seem to have similar performance levels as the PS2 but are considerably cheaper... any reviews would be helpful. Thanks.

Probably the stickiest street tires I've ever used outside of "track ready" street tires like the RE-01R and Advan Neova. Exceptional grip in dry, incredible in the wet, progressive break away, quiet and comfortable...Just about everything you'll ever want in a street tire except for the wear. If you get 12,000 miles out of these count your lucky stars.

Agree on all points except for treadwear. So far I have 9k miles on mine and I have minimal wear with pretty spirited driving. No track or autox use, I have dedicated rubber for that. Maybe I drive slower than The HACK. :)

I LOVE mine. They are exceptional tires but as said above, you dont get alot of life out of them but I also autocross on them 7-8 times a year

My experience is with ~6-8 track weekends mixed in. Sorry, should have clarified that.

Thanks for the quick reviews..... that is what i thought they would be like based on what i have read.... but it is always nice to hear some comments based on first hand experience.... these will be my new tires.... thanks again.

I run them on my car, grip great. use them for Auto-X, I figure I picked up about 2 seconds in my times. In the wet I haven't run into any issues, great tire!
