Hi everyone my name is Chris, and I am looking forward to buying a BMW in the very near future. I wanted to know if you all could give me a brief break down on the different models. I am in love with the E36 body style but not sure what model is right for me. I would buy a M for sure but a little out of my price range and im not really looking for another high performance car as I own a turbo RX-7. I am all about the drivers car im not a point A to point B person, I pick back roads over highways any day. But I also need it to be a 4 door for my little girl! Thanks for your time and look forward to speaking to you all!

Basically. A 328i is your best bet, look into 1998's....if you find anything, be sure to post it up here or ask questions about it.
Welcome to Bimmerforums Chris, and especially the Mid-Atlantic Forum.
Throwing out a big caution with some of the members here, don't read comments for the literal, make sure you take things with a grain of salt and a little bit of humor on the side :)
Yup. If you set on a 4 door E36 with less performance, 328i is a good way to go (or Jessie's M3/4). 98 was the last year for the 4 door version.

What do you mean? Is this another inside joke? :rolleyes

I love my 98 328i. Fits plenty of whores. Or children, if you have those too.

Thanks for asking shes 5 years old. The whores idea is good too but Thats how ended up with my little girl. Dad said I spent to much time in the basement....lol I am shocked I didnt get any negative feed back on the fact that I own a RX7! I plan on going up to carmax to see if they have any 3 series. Based on what I have seen on the net I am leaning towards like a 98ish 328i

They dont usually have cars as old as 98 at carmax, and they charge to much, you should try autotrader.com and craigslist.com
