i figured id post this in here since you guys know a lot more about suspension than the average owner..
ive been delayed a very long time on installing my suspension, and it is about 75% done..but i am waiting on parts that are backordered to be delivered..so basically the car is on jackstands for over a week (where the install should take a days worth)
as i was looking at the strut hats, i realized i may have installed them incorrectly..i called turner, tc kline, and pm'd a reputable member here to ask what direction the arrow that is stamped in the strut hat should be pointing..they all said towards the nose of the car.
the right side checks out, but the left currently has the arrow towards the rear, so its backwards.. and i was looking at it, and since its a 3 stud connection point...wouldnt that not allow for the arrow to become straight forward directly to the nose?
also, a random add on to the thread..what are some good alignment specs to run on the car to get the best combo of tire wear/grip? i plan on dropping the front 1.5-1.75 (just want to get rid of wheel gap..whatever amount that is), and the rear is fixed as its a matched spring/shock to match the front coilovers (koni sport coilover kit)
thanks for the help guys, and im sorry if this is not the best section for this..just want to get the best answers dealing with suspension
edit: i played around with the hats just now, and to make the hats oriented in the same way, the right plate arrow points forward, and left side arrow points towards the rear..i guess they are supposed to be going in opposite directions? doesnt seem right to me, but the hats jut out the same way, and the adjusters point in the same way..meaning they are identically oriented
