So I put a deposit down on a set and going to complete the sale in the next day or two after some funds transfer.

I know there are some people on here with some great pictures of modded Throwing stars. Polished lips, dark centers.. Show me what you guys can pull up.

Im not sure if I'll want to change them, but I am going to consider.

Do it! Are they staggered? I'm planning on a set in the near future myself. I'll do painted lips and diamonswarz covers. Should compliment my sterling silber car nicely.

Wasup man. Personally I would go with the rims you have on there right now, but im not exactly in on the e34 scene so I dont know whats hot. Either way they both look great.

Thanks again for the 3.91lsd!

I do like that look, just not sure how good it looks on black cars. It would look killer on your car though.

Here's jcbe34's wheels on my Touring (thanks!). I still like the 18" wheels a little better than the 17's but do like the Throwing Star look. That's one beautiful paint job on your car! Didn't you say you worked in a paint shop? If you don't mind me asking, what does that quality of paint job run? I'm looking to get the Touring painted this year sometime but will stay with the Beige just because it's less hassle.

When I get a set of staggered T-Stars, they are getting polished lips standard centers.

Nogaro centers look bad-assed on T-Stars too.

Note: I would not do polished lips on daily driven wheels. Too much of a pain to polish them up every month. Especially if you're anal like me and would remove the center before doing it. I suppose you could clear them, but then they loose that bling factor that polished bare Al has.

Those wheels above on the touring are beauitful.

If I go polished it will be after one of the other e34's is sold and I have another car to drive as a DD.

Those dark centers are beautiful, what color was used?

It was actually a chrysler color, mineral silver I think. As far as polished lips go.. throwing stars would be pretty simple to maintain simply because there are no bolts.

Paul: My paint was original in that photo. I do detail work, but I do work at a body shop. For a quality job, stock color, I would spend $3-4k.. Your car doesn't have much (if any?) damage on it, so $3-4k should get you a pretty slick paint job. Kessler works at a body shop too, and he actually does estimates if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, I do...

Go to a reputable body shop and ask what they'd charge if you tore it down yourself.

Then take the door handle surrrounds off, trim off, moldings off etc.. and save yourself a ton of money. Also talk to them about how many coats of clean they'll put on it. Have them basicly prep, and shoot the car and then color sand and polish it yourself and you will have a beautiful car.

I put the whole deal tearing down an e34 sedan and painiting it and I think it was less than 5k with a labor rate of 46 an hour for body and paint and 26 and hour or paint material. If you PM me tomorrow during the work day I could tell you the exact amount at those labor rates.

I should be ok running 245-45-17's in the rear right?

I have an almost new pair of tires in that size and I'd like to use them up.

T-star's are easy as hell to paint. Just remove the cover and paint away.. personally I liked them silver.
