If you're driving an E34, dates are rarely reluctant. :)

that doesnt look half bad...
ill just whip out the ol drill and tear into my interior.
not.
I hate to say it guys, but these things actually do work. Assuming they are made of quality metal.
Sport Compact Car tested one way back in the day and they actually found a noticable increase is chasis rigidity.
Plus its a great excuse to not allow rear seat passengers!

better get one for the front too, just mount it right before the pedals, through the console, it will function as a foot rest also... SCORE!

:confused for some reason i dont think this is the same support brace your refering to. Anthing universal and "adjustable" will not be strong enough to keep the body from flexing... IMO
EDIT:
If this thing was tested as functional, i would just grab an aluminum shower curtain pole, cut it to size and use it.
Its just not practical...

the concept seems sound enough.. but really... i think you would need a lot more work before you'd notice, and even then need something probably custom made for the e34. you don't exactly see anyone running universal strut braces, do you? well i guess you see adjustable.. but im pretty sure theyre model specific? anyways adjustable braces have a bad rap in the performance community. just a thought.

Oh yeah I cant wait to see how it works. I tried to find a DIY on install, but the dealer said install would be $750. I think ill just take it their to make sure its put on right.

I didnt really read the auction, didn't realize this was universal. The part SCC tested was designed for the car it was installed in and bolted to the seat/seat attachment points (which in this car were bolted to the frame).

I knew it couldnt be the same one. Model specific stabilizers and cages help a tremendous amount.;)
