Fader control for stock radio

89 325is with stock premium sound system. Please help the ignorant, where and how do you control the fader on this radio. I searched the forum and studied the radio without success.

i had the premuim radio in my 325i, it is usually a touch and then slide of the finger to make it work

My buddies 325e has a fader switch seperate from the radio on the dash. Or maybe its balance. Not sure but it messes with something like that and is still hooked up for some reason even though he has an aftermarket HU.

on mine the for thre fader control you just slide your finger back and forth in the slot on the radio.

Yes... ...it works just like an ipod. Pretty snazzy for 1980s technology, I say.
