I have a '79 635csi for sale in the Seattle area which was in an accident last March and the right-front corner was damaged... including the nose section, hood, right front fender, grills, right lights/indicator and windshield;... all in some way touched by the impact. The valence looks to be alright, but will need new paint (obviously). The right side (passenger) door has been jolted slightly and sits in the frame very tightly now. I have not had the frame measured, so I don't know if it has been impacted by the hit. She was running at the time of the accident and was shut off then. She was towed from there and towed from the yard to where she sits now at my house. She hasn't moved on her own motive power since that night. The battery is dead and since the hood hinges at the nose, I have not replaced it to see what the running condition really is. There were no engine fluid leaks although the radiator may have been punctured. The steering column was messed-with by the tow driver; it was seperated from the dash. So, obviously she's not in the greatest condition, but I'm passing this info. out to the folks on Bimmer boards first before I either put an ad in Autotrader or get her scrapped. I have received some very valuble help from such forums and I appreciated it then as now... I'm giving anyone who may be interested here the first crack at it.

I am *not* parting this car out. I need to be rid of her completely. I was entertaining notions of repair for most of this past year, but that is not the case anymore. If you want the car, you will have to take her away. I live in the Wallingford/Greenlake area.
I am also not *giving* this car away. Despite the condition, she's still somewhat rare and still has some intrinsic value... however I am not self-delusional. Make me some kind of offer which you feel makes sense to you. I was hoping for $1000 or thereabouts. And at that it stings rather bitterly. But you tell me...
If you wish to see it, get in contact with me and we can set you up a time to do that... see below for contact info.

Thanks for your time...
