funniest M5 rip off [//M(ach)5]

I was walking back to my car this evening when a white 5 caught my eye. The 5 had the impressive front grill of the M so I took a long look at it as I walked by. The grill was there, and the M mirrors were there as well, but there was something very off with the car. The stance wasn't right; the side aprons didn't seem low enough. It wasn't aggressive enough in my eye. What really caught my attention was that who ever owned this 5 had taken off the BMW roundel and replaced it with a tacky M logo roundel. This really clinched the deal, I've seen quite a few M's in my day, and never has there been even a kid bold enough to do that to an M3. The wheels were non BMW's too, which also struck me as weird. I’ve never seen an M5 without the M5 rims. I passed it and got in my car, but I was determined to prove that it was more then an off M5. I pulled into the lane behind the car and the second the rear came into view I started laughing so hard. This guy had put a lot of money into this car. He had bought a rear wing, and had the letters removed, something I wouldn't expect to see on an M, but here's the kicker: no M exhaust. Oh, this guy had the exhaust done alright, but maybe when he did, he wasn't into the mach M look, because he had a beautiful dual chrome exhaust, but lets get this straight: anyone who knows what they are looking for, will tell just from that that that wasn't an M5. It was so classicly off that I ran back into work and told everyone of the horrible M5 wanna be. Although, I must hand it to this guy, he had spent a pretty penny for his //M(ach)5.

Oh well it happens all the time. I used to get worked up when I would see a car add that has a 84 M3 and the worst was a 81 M3. You call up and YUP, I got a M3 for Sale. DUMB ASS! Any way, I just laugh and think, at least they know what a M is? :redspot

The worst, was this ass in a 89 525ia, yup a M20 AUTO, this was at a Auto-X he said it was a M5 and was classed as one! I was in the M3 and wanted to talk to the guy cuz, I got a 525, and he had this really HUGE subs in it and some other Dumb ass stuff. I asked if it was a 525, and he said NOPE< it's a M5.

So, here I am, looking at the M20, his door is open and I can see the slush box lever. Really, so then why did you swap out the S38 and 5 speed?:dunno

So, he still doesn't get it. Then I tell him that he would have a better chance of posting in the top 10 if he told them it was a 525, the M5 is in a MUCH harder class of cars.

Nope, it's a M5. .....

It was just WAY to funny!

BTW, he was on STOCK Suspension with some 18in ugly crome wheels!:help
