Im in the market for new tires. Im a college student and cant afford to much. Ill say I'm willing to spend around $600, but I would like to spend as little as possiable. Im just looking for some input as to what you guys have driven on and how you liked them! I need 225 40 R18 fronts, and 245 40 R18 rear. Im looking for something a little on the hard side, because I cant afford to be wearing through tires every 10k miles. Im also looking for mainly a summer tire, it dosent have to be all season, but it can be. Any input is much appreciated!!:redspot

I hear good about the Bridgestone RE050, but i think thats out of your range. Might be worth the efford to browse tirerack and see what people say there.

I run General UHP Exclaim tires on my M-contours. I get about 8-12k on a set of tires and I drive them hard with at least 2 track days on each set. They should be good to 15-16k if you drive nicely.
Edit: Still number 1 on Tirerack for Ultra High Performance tires.

sick looking tread too.
225/40ZR18 $81 per tire
245/40ZR18 $113 per tire

I have the Ziex now, I actually love them, but they are too soft... I would like something a lil harder...
Ill check out the other suggestions tho!
Anyone else have any recomendations??

I just bought some new Ultra tires for really cheap $150 Canadian each for 205 40 18s. I think thats the name of the brand, because thats all it says on the side. They are manufactured by Goodyear though. Very happy with them and they have an agressive thread pattern.

Yokohama Avid V4S. Read some reviews. I just don't think they have them in the size you are looking for.

+1 for the Yokos. Definitly the best tire company out there.

I like the Toyo T1R, but they would push your budget at the size your looking for. I've heard the Kumho MX are comparable to the T1R and these would run you ~ $550 from TireRack, tax not included.
