Speartech (http://speartech.com)

For anyone who will be taking on an LSx swap I HIGHLY recommend Speartech for their custom harnesses, PCM's and outstanding customer service.

John @ Speartech began answering my questions via email probably 1 year prior to me actually pulling the motor and beginning the project
John answered my questions over the phone and via email when working out the details of the custom harness I was about to purchase from him
John configured the PCM as I had requested (no vats, no air, no egr, etc. etc.)

John answered questions during the install process

After I forgot to tell John that the project car was originally a 4cy (I got the car running but tach was reading double). He had me send the PCM back to have the tach signal tweaked free of charge

Then came time for tuning and when my tuner got the Z up on the dyno he realized that he couldn't tune my PCM (message saying it was locked). I called John @ Speartech up on a Saturday afternoon requesting an unlock code so we could begin tuning. John returned my call later that day stating that Speartech does not lock PCM's and something else must be wrong. I assured John that no other party has come in contact with the PCM since he has had it, and all we were doing was trying to tune her on the dyno. What does John do?...................he has me send the PCM back to him, tests it, realizes something's definitely wrong......sends me another free of charge.

For all those diving into one of these swaps, I would highly recommend www.speartech.com for your engine harness and PCM.

I lurk and post on many forums (Ls1tech, Pro-touring, Lateral-g, Torquecentral etc) and Speartech is always highly recommend. I have not done business with them but John at Speartech was very helpful for a good friend in answering questions about a potential swap.

I've dealt with some great companies before but Speartech has definitely offered me the best customer service thus far. When I called John on 4/28 (Saturday) and left him a message while trying to dyno tune the car, he called back just a few hours later.

When was the last time a business has called you back on your cell on a day when they're closed to try and fix an issue???

I agree. He answered many of my questions during my first swap even though I ended up doing my own harness. He does a top notch job.

Joe, I also couldn't agree more, John is doing my system for the LSX in the M6, very responsive and knowledgeable! Solved many of my problems, can't wait to get the final product!!

Everyone I talk to about the swap is like, "Damn, how long it take you to figure out the electronics?" Wiring was probably one of the least painful parts of the swap thanks to Speartech. Making hard brake lines that didn't leak was much more of a headache for me.

What kind of cash are we talkin?

I'm gonna be on a very tight budget.

Will the factory BMW cluster still work with the LS1 system?
