SRS (Air bag light)

My SRS light comes on for about 5 minutes after start up and then turns off. It is a 1995 525i ad I noticed this after I had some body work done to the rear of the car. I know there are crash sensors in the front and a module under the rear seat. Is there any way of checking the components i.e. sensors to see if they have malfunctioned. I am also looking for a supplier to purchase new weather striping for all four dour openings (the rubber that attaches to the pinch weld on the body. I am also selling four chrome basket weave wheels if someone is looking for original replacements.

Mine does it too, stays on for 2 minutes. Mine's a faulty passenger seat mat or whatever it's called, in the cushion of the passenger seat. The light doesn't bother me. :dunno

isn't it supposed to come on, then off?

it could just need to be reset if they unplugged any of the sensors......
