Hi Jim,

I am running a 15" stock set up on a 98 323is, I would like to go to an 18" wheel non staggered looking for something with a big lip and a wider tire, dont want to roll the fenders and of course dont want rubbing in the front. Any suggestions

Thanks,

Cougar

+3" and a big lip, depending on what you consider big, and a wide tire might be hard to pull off with no modification at all. The Beyern 5 have a bigger looking lip because of the wheel design, but I can't say that I like their overall style.

I was looking into the ASA AR2's 18" looks like it has a nice lip

Take note that going to 18s on a 323i, you'll notice a significant drop in performance as well as increase in suspension & steering wear-&-tear. Go ahead if you're willing to suffer performance for looks.

The offset & the width of the wheel has a lot to do with what you are looking at. Go to 1010tires.com for the wheel offset calculator and you'll have some idea on what wheels to look for. A 3-series can go anywhere from 35mm-47mm in offset. Any change in offset and wheel width can affect both outer and inner clearance. Inner clearance is important if you'll be upgrading to coilovers in the future as some can have clearance issues with the wheels, I've heard.
