could you get a pick of what id have to mount to my e34? Id take the switch out the console and put it somewhere else though...

you could buy the e34 parcel shelf from europe for about $100 usd, thats if you can find one...

The switch is mounted in the same place in the E34, which is why I'm including the entire console. The other issue is that the wiring harness provisions the switch to mount in the rear center console.

I'm not certain that it can be grafted onto an E34 parcel shelf. The last one of these that I had, which was two years ago, was inoperable with stripped gears.

I dismounted it from the E32 shelf (secured by a few 10mm nuts) and planned to modify an E34 parcel shelf to test fit it.

Before I could do that, someone came by (with an E34 540), and bought just the inoperable shade unit -- no parcel shelf, wiring, switch or console, for $100.

In the subsequent years, I've acquired the only parchment rear power shade I've ever seen, which matches my interior, so...no need to keep this one around.

The good E34 units are around 2-300 euro in Europe. That's around $3-400 without shipping. Here's a somewhat complete kit:
