E34 infared code?

Aparently some nissans and Audi's have an infared code that pda owners have been hacking, if you get the code you can lock/unlock your car with your pocket pc/pda instead of your remote...

yep, on my pda i have a remote control program that can learn infrared signals. basically you point the device and press the button and you can save the signal, so im guessing this can work.

but generating the signal from scratch, eventhough it is possible, the odds of getting the right one are extremely small
