Well it is official. I am now the owner of an actual running m30 turbo. Have the initial fuel and timing maops pretty well dialed in. Still a few dead spots at low RPM. Been mostly tuning for WOT. The .69 A/R turbo builds usable boost at 2700 RPM and I am at a solid 8 psi at 4000 RPM. This thing screams. I stopped by a local BMW lot to update the ECU and there were some folks I know at the shop. Everyone was amazed with the speed of the car and one guy wanted to race. Keep in mind I am only about 75% tuned here. He pulls up with his Turbo R33 skyline 5 sp running .5 bar with no FCD. When the light turned, to my suprise I smoked him off the line I had 1.5 car lengths on him by 4000 RPM. After 4000 RPM my wastegate opens and the boost dies. I will crank the boost controller up about 4-5 turns to get 14 PSI. That right there made the last 5 weeks and $5000 all worthwile. Anyway, next weekend I should have my underhood heat issues taken care of as well as running 12-14 psi. Can somebody tell me the best way to post video on the board. I will take some video if anyone is interested and post some more pics on cardomain.

Nice. I think almost everyone (including myself) thought you meant 535iT as in Touring :)

Stock right now. If it blows at 14 PSI I will upgrade to MLS .140 and studs for the head.

Nice Way too go. I should be in the same boat as you in about 2 weeks. Except I have a few more goodies to go in

So why crank it up to 14psi and risk blowing it? Why not put it at around 10-12psi?
I'm a turbo n00b :help

It's like overclocking a computer... you achieve a certain clock and then push it a bit more. Too bad cars aren't as forgiving as today's systems tho' (thinking KABOOOOOM...)
