Where was this supposed to go. I did a spring strut install and have this left over....

and to be honest, i was driving around without #18 for about 5 months...UGH...! what a headache
now THATS BAD to leave out....but youre good on #16 i think

It helps to keep the dust coming from the bottom of the strut. You can live without it, but it helps a bit. It's not a biggy, but you know it's not a good idea to leave out some parts :)

Isn't that actually #13? I thought #16 was a larger silver colored piece?

Well actually, I think you're right, cause I checked my all washers (I have all my suspension out) and found 3 washers. One was big flat washer (#17), another was covering the bearing (#16), so the 3rd one would be the one OP is asking about (#13).

the should not be called a flat washer. I am going to attempt to install this with the suspsion loaded

Your not going to get those in while the suspension loaded. You'll have to disassemble the strut to put those in.

why will i have to dissasemble if they go on top. can I just give it a few blasts with impact gun then refine with torque wrench?

the washers concave, isnt there a washer that goes on top of the shock stancion under 18

you will definitely want that washer back in there!!! without it the top of the strut is pushing up the wrong way.
