hey, i am in the market soon for new tires, and wanted to know if it is possible to run 235 40 17 all around on my staggered M-contours, i currently have 235's on the rear kuz thats what my dad gave me, but i would like the neutrality associated with non-staggered wheels but keep my same look. i am not willing to buy new wheels, and will settle if i cant have my 235's up front. 1st question is, can i run a 235 on my front contours?
2nd is better bang for the buck ecsta spt v. fuzion zri?
thanks

Even though it's not recommended by todays' tire manufacturers, I dont see why not. The 95 M3s had 235s on 7.5" wheels.
I would go with the fuzions, because they have proven to be great budget tires in my experience.

what sized width are the fronts vs the rears? i have nonstaggered 7.5 ltw replicas, and i have 235/40/17s all around.... i like the neutrality of it a lot.

If you can't pick up a used set of 8.5 wide Contours to place up front, then just get the stock staggered 225/45 and 245/40 seventeens fr/rr. You can adjust your driving style to kick the tail out to get the back end to rotate (trail brake heavily with abrupt release from the brake pedal when transitioning to throttle).

235's all around with narrower wheels up front could throw off your traction control and ABS.

I am like 99% positive that the 95 LTW's came with staggered (7.5/8.5) rims but ran a 235/40-17 on all corners. I'm sure someone will argue about that and I know that was changed on the FORGED rim option on the cars but I'm pretty sure thats the way the LTW's actually came.
I have run 235/40 on 7.5" fronts with a 245/40 on 8.5" rears on my forged LTW's on an M3/4 and was very happy with it.

Tracked my M3/4 with this tire setup on my Contours and was also happy with it.
