i am looking to buy a set of wheels in 19's for my e36, and i found a place that sells the wheels i want but they only sell that wheel in 19'' for the 5 series. is there anyway i could modify the wheel to fit an e36 3 series? what would i need to do? i dont really understand why the wheel wouldnt fit my car in the first place. can anyone help me out? thanks

It won't fit because of the offset.

5 series have an offset of 20 and the E36 have an offset of 35.

So you have to look further.

Sorry for the negative reply.:(

I think you would probably find 18's as big as you would want to go on an e36.

19" is possible on an E36, but if it's recommenable... That's a different question. ;) :D

I know somebody here in the Netherlands who has 19" under his E36.

19s on an e36 look goofy. The car looks like its sitting high even if the wheels are tucking

+1, with very few exceptions, 19's look stupid on e36's (in addition to being stupid). 17-18 is nice.

what's the benefit to that? I only see cons:

more weight
choppier ride
potholes=bent rims
18's would handle better.

Just wanted to show how 19" look under an E36 with a lowering kit from 80mm front and 70mm.:(

When I should have an E36, I also would go for 17" or 18".

I don't believe they will fit because 5-series have a different hub size than the e36. I tried putting the wheels I just got on my dads e39 and they didnt fit.
