I am new to this forum and really appreciate all the great information about our E36's.

I have to purchase my first set of tires for a 96 328is. I do mostly freeway driving during the week but enjoy some sport driving on the weekends.

The car currently has Dunlop SP Sport 4000 A/S tires which have lasted almost 40K miles.

I am looking at Michelin Pilot XGT Z4 and Bridgestone Potenza RE730.

Any experiences with these tires or other recommendations (good and bad) would be appreciated.

I am currently running Michelin Pilot SX-GTs. I used to love the Dunlop SP8000s on my Volvo, but they don't make them to fit my 325 (and I didn't want to start messing with tire sizes). I love the Michelins, though. Lots of grip. I put on snow tires in the winter, so I run dedicated summer tires when it's not snowing. They've got plenty of rain grooves, which is why I don't use "All-season" tires.
