Many thanks to the guys at Active Autowerke (http://www.aatuning.com) .
Take a look at the dyno results (before and after). My Web Site (http://www.geocities.com/minicoopersgirl) Click on DYNO at the bottom right.
Noticeable increase in boost and hp. I can really hear the SC breathe...Ahhhh
:alright

Thanks,
Aimee

Is that to the wheels? Or after the conversion...

Either way, very nice gains! How much was the install on it? I heard they have to remove the whole SC to get it on there.

Your car is probably so much faster than mine now :( At least my shift knob is cooler than yours :D

I knew I wanted a CooperS for a reason. :) The stock software can handle that? Or did AA have to program the ECU on the dyno?

For those of us with really slow connections, can someone post the gains and new rwhp and rwtq #'s... :D

I think the rwhp and rwtq numbers are going to be pretty much unaffected :dunno

The fwhp and fwtq might jump up a bit though :D I'll post up the numbers when I get home.... the library nazis are on to me here at school :devillook

The stock software handles it just fine... in fact, the stock software is still running rich at 16psi of boost. Air/Fuel ratio was avereaging 11:1 sometimes even even a bit richer. A software upgrade would probably help add some additional power. AA only installed the pulley.

Ya Dave... rwhp and rwtq doesn't change... they are still 0 :D

Anyway, this particular MCS produced 164hp 146tq stock and with the pulley upgrade makes 180hp and 160tq. I must mention... those numbers are at the wheels on a mustang dyno. Yeah... I know the MINIs are supposed to come with 163hp at the engine stock. This MINI must be one of the 'strong' ones.

I called AA once I read this. They are coming out with some upgrades themselves.

I think I'm going to take the plunge -
pulley
software
ltw flywheel
header
exhaust

If the numbers they are coming out with are right - this little car has a lot more potential than I thought.

I've already surprised a few people who thought this little car had no go....

Damn guys and gal, this pulley seems like an awesome idea, but its just the warranty thing that is still holding me back, I mean this little pulley should void pretty much anything that has to do with the engine and supercharger and that kinda scares me. Maybe i will pus out and wait for Dinan to step in and make a pulley and upgraded ECU and intercooler and call it a day. It's just that this would be my daily driver. But the gains are very tempting.

Feel free to comment

Yes... there are some warranty concerns there, but that being said. I believe the engine is strong enough to hold it. Even with the added boost, the engine is still running very rich so there is zero chance of detonation. Plus if you take your car in for warranty, the service guys would specifically have to look for the pulley to see you have changed it ... remember, it's buried in there. I'm sure with a little time (and dirt) the new pulley will be the same color as the OEM pulley making it even harder to tell.

Did I read recently in one of the rags, that Mini is gonna offer a similar mod thru their dealer network??? To be covered under warranty, sorta like Dinan stuff from the BMW dealer, etc...???

Yeah Dave. Thats the John Cooper Works stuff. They've got a 200hp kit for the MCS but I think its pretty pricey.

Yeah, the article did not have a price listed, if I recall...
