cannot be a northern car or a beach car due to salt. chance of rust increases greatly, especially on a 12 year old car.
dont want anything that has been in anything besides a fender bender

willing to go anywhere as long as it meets these requirements (though cali is still a bit far)

i plan on redoing the supension and probably switching the drivers seat, so things related to that dont matter as much. i just want the engine and chassis to be in good condition.

I have a '93 325is that I've been considering selling. It has 113,xxx on the clock and engine/chassis are perfect. Here are some more details:

Bought 4 years ago when it had 67k miles. I have put Mobil1 0-40W oil in every 5k or fewer miles. New water pump around 75k miles, new front lower ball joints around 90k miles. Other stuff (air filters, micro filter) along the way.

Stuff it needs:
New O2 sensor (CEL on)
New muffler (hole right through the bottom)

It has NO rust...but a dent in the hood (right in the middle, no idea what happened -- was just like that one day when i came out to it). A couple door dings, but overall a beautiful car considering the age.

Again I haven't actually tried to sell this at all...but have been toying with the idea of getting a Jetta to save on my daily commute with a new job I took. Having a buyer for the bimmer would make my decision quite a bit easier. I'm located in Iowa (we have snow) though, which I think you said you didn't want. Seems like under car was treated by previous owner though -- and it never saw snow until 2002.
