I ordered the Vision VM7 Kit from Vision Motorsports last week. Its suppose to be here in a couple of weeks. I will defintely have some pictures of them for you ASAP. The kit is arriving about 1 week after my car is scheduled to arrive.
I guess Justin has changed the kit now. I am getting the Front Bumper M5 Style, and the piece underneath it will be carbon fiber. The side skirts are modeled after the Hamann type. The rear bumper diffusor will also be in carbon fiber. I also ordered the rear window spolier.
Here also has a carbon fiber dash replacement that I am thinking about getting to replace the wood trim. I also am planning to order his M5 style side mirrors.
What do you guys think? Will the carbon fiber interior look ok with a tan interior? I think it will make the car look a little more sporty, but lose some of its elegence.

Personally, I wouldn't put CF inside a tan 7... doesn't seem like it would complement that interior. A gray/black interior maybe but definitely not tan. But that's just me... :)

I am torn between ordering Justin's set-up and remaining stealthy. I was very close to ordering his kit and I had an encounter w/ a Mustang on the highway. After dusting him, I slowed down to 80 and as he pulled along side, we were stopped by a cop. The Mustang got the ticket and I was waved off by the cop.
The Mustang attracted the cop's attention and the "Old Fart's Ride" just pulled over by mistake.
Stealth is good! :D

Bimmerhead, I think no matter how much you mod a 740 it still remains pretty much stealthy. I have been reading how much power your car is going to have. I defintely think you should change some of the exterior pieces as well. I can't wait to read more about your amazing setup. I am personally not too much of a power fanatic. I had a 400 HP Audi S4, and I have a supercharged NSX, so I think I want to leave the 740 pretty much stock, maybe just an exhaust, intake, chip, and tb. I was looking at Dinans site, and their stage 4 kit, looks pretty decent. I am pretty good friends with Racing Dynamics and their 400 hp kit goes for like $15000. I think you said your going 500hp, man can't wait to see that setup. :)

Ok, this is one statement.

I think this completely disagrees with your previous statement...?!?

Hmm...yea...that's "stock*" alright...
If you mod the exterior of a car, it gets picked up on, namely because cops can see it...versus all the engine mods and interior they do not look at if they haven't popped your hood. I agree with Simeon, I'm more performance oriented before I do anything with looks, and even then it won't be flashy (like a body kit), more so as in paint job, lights, interior sound, video, and finishings, etc. However, I know you iforged, like many other SoCali's are interested in more show than go. No worries. Stealth is just the way to go...in a sense it's "anti-stealth" for me :D (who the hell would be trying to elude police and speed ALL the time in a WHITE BMW sedan? I mean...seriously :biglaughb).
*Note: The use of the term "stock" in no way implies that anything that is aftermarket and not originally included on the car by the manufacturer on the car has not been added. In essence, this means that anything can be added and the use of the common phrase "stock" can still be used. We apologize for the confusion.

Ha Ha, I just consider all that stuff stock, because its not a turbo upgrade or supercharger. I kinda of think intake, exhaust, chip, and tb is still kinda of stock. I think even with the body kit and rims the 740 will still remain its stealthy apperance. First of all the car is black, so the body kit will be fairly hard to notice. Second most people will just think it looks like a M5. The only thing that is going to set it apart is the black 20 wheels with the 4" lip in the rear and the 3" lip in the front. Maybe I should go 3.5" lip in the front and 4" lip in the rear. Anyone know if we can squeeze a 9.5 in the front of a 740i. I just did some more calculations and that combination will work, it there is enough clearance to the strut tower.
So my options are
Front
20*9.5 with a 3.5" lip
20*9 with a 3" lip
Rear
20*10 with a 4" lip
20*10.5 with a 4" lip
20*11 with a 4" lip
Which one do you guys think is the best combination. I know for sure the 20*9 will fit in the front, and that the 20*11 in the rear will fit also. I know you can go up to 20*11.5 with some fender modifications. :D

I wouldn’t do the carbon fiber if I were you. With all of this you're doing you will have more M5 then 740. You need to keep some of that seven series luxury.

Just got the call from Justin today. My kit has been finished, and they are just doing the last touches on the carbon fiber pieces. These thing is going to be ready to ship sometime next week. I can't wait. Also the mirrors are ready as well.
