If you put a cold air intake on your car does it change the ratio of air to fuel (14-1) in the combustion chamber? Doesnt that use more fuel making it less efficient using more gas? why do people say cold air intakes make your car more efficient?

the short version of the story is; colder air is more dense then warm air. denser air has a higher concentration of oxygen. more oxygen in the combustion changer means more efficient combustion. better combustion equals more power.
