Mini Mania sells a blower pulley that adds 20hp to the wheels. You can find it at :
http://new.minimania.com/NewMiniSearch.cfm?PartNumber=NME5010&ShowMiniDetail=Yes&ShowIcons=No
Also, the BMP Design CAI is supposed to add over 10 hp as well. You can check it out at http://www.bmpdesign.com/promini/contents.shtml
Considering that the Cooper S is pretty damn fast in the first place, I'd say that with those you'd have a really fast S

Nah.. don't go for the brembos. Stoptech has a gorgeous kit for the MINIs... check it out 328mm floating rotors

Either that... or the Tar-ox kit... 10 piston calipers and 318mm rotors... yikes
We had a discussion about brakes not too long ago..... check it out http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60838

Actually, the first mod I would do is send her to a High Performance Driving School. That way she will be able to learn how to drive her car at the nth level.
Th S can be a little squirrely at speed when you mod the car. She would need to learn how to adapt and overcome these peculariaties before she loses control of the car. My car has the BMP intake and 18s and it can be a handful when running near redline and encountering uneven roads. BTW, I am an experienced driver and I run some of these driving schools.

I was reading the "minimania" web site forum section, that the underdrive pulleys cost a fortune to install. Something about, there's a lot to remove and a lot of time to do it. I thought about it, but after those comments, I'm taking a pass, but I did do the BMP airbox and it's awesome. There's not a lot of visceral gain, but you can feel the power gain in the mid range especially.
Hope that helps.:emo

Do you have any exact numbers?
The pulley is only $130 and I assume labor can't be more than 5 hours...
20whp for under $500 ain't bad :dunno
