The 1997-1999 M3's have the 6 bolt driveshaft with the joint at the back. I have one for sale for $175 if you are interested. The 4 bolt is from a 1995.

I am totally confused now. Everyone says I need a 4 bolt to match a 4 bolt differential that is on all ti's, M coupes, Z3's and e30's. Which side are you talking about that has the 4 bolts? Can you take a picture for me please. What year is your car? You have a 1997-1999 drive shaft for sale? I am assuming you need a 95 driveshaft right? And you purchased a 1997-1999 drive shaft????

Mark I think you have it backwards, 4 bolts are from 1997-1999. What year is your car? Also why do you need a 6 bolt flange? thanks

I have a 6 bolt driveshaft that will not work with my 4 bolt diff. The car has a M3 gearbox (5 speed) with a 4 bolt M3 differential with a quaiffe. I thought I needed just a normal M3 driveshaft and I didnt know that there was a differance. I also have an M3 street car (1997, M3/4 5 speed) that has a 6 bolt differential. I lookes at it just to see. I just bought a 1995 driveshaft from an M3 5 speed that is a 4 bolt. When I say 4 bolt, Im talking at the diff. They are all 3 bolt at the trans but the M3 is a bigger bolt circle than a 325. So now I have what I need but I have an extra M3, 6 bolt driveshaft.

Oh yea, you asked why I needed a 6 bolt flange, thats because I could have put it on the diff Im building and used my 6 bolt driveshaft.

I have a ///M3 ZF transmission. My Differential input flange is 4 bolt. So I definately need a 4 bolt driveshaft. Thanks, Mark
