Has anyone tried AMSOIL

They have oil that last 25k miles and 35k miles or one whole year without an oil change. Has anyone tried this oil?

My Mechanic Put Amsoil in my 1998 740i in December I have only driven 2,200 miles but in checking the oil it is still clean as the day he put it in he suggests changing oil every 8,000 miles and swears by it. he has worked on bmw over 25 years and said it is the best oil he has found.

amsoil is some of the best around. same with redline,royal purple, and a couple others. I dont think anybody could ever say definitively one is better than the other.
