SOLD SOLD SOLD
I just purchased another car, so I'm a little more motivated to sell. I will consider REASONABLE offers
Pics added post #16
This listing is for my 1999 M3. The car is titanium silver on black leather, and currently has 83k miles. Car is located in Greenville, SC.
Disclaimer:
I realize I am posting this ad on a forum that mainly criticized posted prices on cars. I don’t care if you don’t feel that the car is worth the money, and I don’t care if there are other cars that are cheaper, less miles, etc. This car is a nearly perfect 1999 E36 M3, and there is nothing to hide on the car.
History:
I bought the car last May from an older gentleman in Springfield, NJ. The car was a one owner Titanium Silver on Black M3, just as I was looking for, at the price range I wanted to spend with 75k miles. I spent ~3 weeks looking for the car I wanted and looked at 5 M’s before I found this one. I looked at a couple ‘98’s and ‘99’s with lower miles, but decided on this one. When I first saw this car, I knew it was it. The exterior was nearly perfect, no dents, paint fading, etc., just had some minor stone chips as any 7 year old car would. The interior was in good shape with some wear on the steering wheel and shift knob and the vader’s were near mint. I purchased the car shortly after.
The car did have a couple of minor, but tasteful modifications installed when I purchased it. The car had a SSK (brand unknown, installed at the dealer, have records, BMW part?), Dinan intake, front strut bar, and stage 2 software. The car also came equipped with an Alpine headunit with an Infinity Basslink powered-subwoofer.
Ownership:
Since owning the car the car has been meticulously maintained and detailed. All but the first month that I owned the car, it has been garaged and washed at least on a weekly basis.
Shortly after purchasing the car I replaced the brakes because the rear pads were worn. I replaced the stock pads with factory rotors and Hawk HPS pads. I’ve changed the oil 3 times since purchasing the car (75k, 78k, and 81k), and have always used the BMW mineral oil from the dealer. In the next week I plan on changing over to Amsoil 5w40 (on order).
Shortly after buying my car I was disappointed with lighting output and purchased a set of genuine OEM bosch European headlights retrofitted with 6K HID’s. The light’s have been great, but I do get a random (once a month) “low beam failure” light.
In the last month I have gone through the majority of the maintenance items on the car that I did not have records of. In one week I ordered new RSM’s, RTAB’s, LCAB’s, and the whole cooling system (radiator, thermostat, water pump, aluminum thermostat housing, upper & lower radiator hoses, and belt), transmission fluid (royal purple syncromesh), and diff fluid (red line 75w90). I also purchased a new set of genuine M3 floormats because the car came with custom embroidered mats with the original owner’s initials.
In addition to the maintenance I also put on a new tires on all 4 corners (Bridgestone RE050A-Pole Position in stock sizes), and installed the M50 manifold using the kit from Eric on the forums. I couldn’t be happier with either the tires or the manifold.
Summary:
The Good:
-Records since new
-New Tires (less than 100 miles)
-Meticulously maintained
-Near perfect body, interior
-One of the cleanest you’ll find
The bad:
-Will get many negative responses on the forums for the price (I DON’T CARE)
-Minor stone-chips on the front end
Why am I selling?
I have other things coming up in my life that are more important than this car at this point. I am in no rush to sell this car. I do not want to hear lowball offers, and I don’t want to just hear criticism on the price. If you don’t like it, don’t post. Email me at brown.nlb@gmail.co….. with any additional questions, or just ask for my phone # and I’d be glad to answer any questions.
As you can see, I've been a member of the forums since last year but I've only posted a few times. I've found that there's enough information on the boards that searching can answer all my questions. I'd appreciate it if someone could link my photobucket folder with my latest pictures taken this afternoon. Link with spaces is found below:
