I've got a cosmos car with pinstripes which seem to have been baked in the sun for 8 years. I tried removing them but the pinstripes break off into little tiny pieces and I can't seem to grab it and pull it off easily.
Any suggestions?
Also, what's the best way to get the pinstripe residue off?
Thanks,
Wes

Try using Xenit. Its a product made by Stoner. Its a cleaner. Its safe on paint. Spray it on, let it soak a bit and rub the pinstripe off. Then follow up with spray wax or something to shine up the body.
I've actually taken off several pinstripes by accident so I know it works at taking pinstripes off. You may have more difficulty being as your pinstripes have been on the car for so long.

There is a device made out of a pencil eraser like substance that you can attach to the end of an electric drill that basically rubs it off without touching your paint. It took off the strip and residue. just dont hold it in one place for long or it gets hot. I dont know where to find it for sure but I could find out if you really wanted to know. I used it once to remove the stripes on a ricer I used to own.

Try the Goo remover that smells like lemon, it works well with windo tent too.
