Just lowered price again. 1993 525i Automatic. Only 122k miles, runs absolutely amazing. Had oil change, new tires, spark plugs, pads and Brembo rotors, valve cover gasket in the last 1,000 miles. Ready for continued BMW longevity and performance.
I have some of the records from the cars earlier days but the previous owner, who was a friend of mine, lost his records in a move. He always took it to dealership for maintainence because he doesn't know any better. Other than whats mentioned above the car has needed very little in its lifetime. A new Behr radiator has been installed a year ago which pretty much covers all the problem areas of these cars.
This car is very clean and has extremely low miles on it. It really needs nothing except and A/C recharge as it is not ice cold.

Not really, I'm selling because I have found another car that I want and need to pick up soon.
Are you considering trading your 633csi? is so... pics?

I'll give you $3500 cash. That's my limit because I have to drive down there 1700 miles to pick it up.
Sounds like a deal? I can send you a deposit right now.

also, does everything work mechanically? Are you sure it just needs another A/C recharge or is the motor bad or an A/C leak?
is the paint in really good condition with no rust, scratches, door dings, dents, clear coat fade, etc?
thanks a lot

I'm local, interested in your car, and have cash.
If all it needs is an A/C recharge, why not go ahead and do it? The potential for needing expensive A/C repair (which is what I read into "recharge") is a big risk.
Feel free to PM me. Would you allow a pre-purchase inspection at a local independent mechanic?

While I agree with you in principle, R12 is expensive--might cost $150 for a recharge. Maybe he just doesn't want to.
But yeah, my question is, why would it need a recharge if there wasn't a leak?

If it's R12, then that's more understandable -- I was under the impression that a '93 would have been R134a. However, it looks like I'm mistaken.

I am not doing any furthur maintainence on the car since I am looking to sell quickly. This money is going towards another car I found, provided its not already sold!
I think it just needs a recharge. Its had the same amount of cooling effect for a while which is what leads me to believe its not a major leak.

Maybe it was used up? You're supposed to change the refridgerant every season or two.
