Low beam lights on

I've notice that the low beam is on, on my indicator shown(by the steering wheel) when i turn the ignition to position 2. I've checked the low and high beam at night and they seem to be fine. Has anyone experience this and how to resolve it so the light on the indicator goes away?

I am in the process of fixing the left wheelarch covering splashguard in the driver side(front wheel area). and i did notice something dangling down there that seem to be of some sensor of some sort. Trying to figure out where that came from. any suggestion would be great. Thanks.
