Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased a Clutch kit for my 1998 328is. I am concerned because the clutch disc doesn't have "four springs" on it like most clutch kits. Here's a pic to show you what I mean. (my disc is on the top).

Do you think my clutch kit is missing this ("4 spring piece")? Or maybe the clutches on '98 328s don't have this piece? I'm quite a novice when it comes to auto repair work. I would greatly appreciate any knowledge you can share with me. Thanks a lot.

The springs are there to asborb the unevenness of the power pulses. Since stock the car has a Dual mass flywheel there is no need to have springs. Unless you went with a single mass flywheel you're A-OK and when you take the stock disk out, it'll look the same.

Edit: although you are missing the alignment tool, make sure to pick one before attempting to change it.
