Well, I have had a check engine light on for a month or two and its the damn air pump. I could drop 600 and replace it, but the car runs fine like it is and I really dont have the disposable cash to do so right now. With that said, this check engine light drives me CRAZY (esp. at night). Every time I reset it, its back in a week or two. Is there anyway to bypass the airpump or something, or does anyone know a better option then to drop all that cash? Please :help

There are several threads here about air pumps ... search ;)
It won't effect how your engine runs at all ... you will just emit a little more emissions at start up. The valve has failed and allowed moisture to kill the pump, so make sure to replace both. You can live forever without it, unless you have to pass an emissions test in your state.
Somebody makes a delete kit, I forget who.
You can buy a used air pump for like $75-80 and the new valve for like $80, so under $200 in parts and it's an ez diy fix.

+1
Mine died and I bought a new pump + valve (or used pump/valve rather) for like < $100. You can get them used for cheap but they may die again. I havent found a delete kit if you do come across one please post it because I would love to delete my secondary air pump/valve forever.
