Hi, my car is a 1995 318is e36 M42. I'm replacing my rear shock mounts and I'm using a better quality after market set. I can use some tips from somebody who has done this job before on this kind of car, parts needed etc. Will the Z-3 rear shock mount reinforcement plate(OEM part from BMW) fit directly onto my car or do I need to modify the original system some what, eg. will the shock mount bolts be too short etc. Or do I really even need the reinforcement plates, and just be fine with my new life time guaranteed shock mounts? We all heard the horror stories with the OEM shock mounts failing and causing severe damage to the shock tower if left too long.
